Who we are
Comforting Hands aspires to help families have success in foster care and adoption. We help the families be seen. Supports offered are geared toward moving FAMILIES from simply surviving to thriving. Comforting Hands is an outreach serving Charlevoix and Antrim Counties. By providing supports to the families, we try to fill part of the gap between agency and families. We want to bless the families for the important work they do.
We believe everyone can do something to help raise awareness to the foster care issue in America. We use volunteers to do this. We ask for only about 2 hours a month.
We utilize volunteers to provide meals, small home repairs, and some mentoring. We let them know they are seen and they matter. Providing families with 1st night packs and a back pack full of school supplies are some of the other things we do.
We work to connect the community to the needs of foster and adoptive FAMILIES so they aren’t walking through this alone. Believing everyone can do something we want to raise awareness to the foster care issue in America.
